Simple Ways to Reset and Detox in 2025

Toxins in the body can lead to various ailments such as brain fog, poor sleep, weak immunity, poor digestion, etc. Detoxification is a crucial way our body maintains optimal health by expelling toxins from the body. There are a plethora of ways to detox, and many of them double as healthy habits that will improve your overall quality of life. As we step into 2025, it's the perfect time to hit the reset button and start the year with a fresh, healthy mindset. Whether you're looking to detox after the holiday indulgence or simply want to establish healthier habits, these easy tips will help you kick off the new year feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on whatever comes your way.

1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

Water is your best friend when it comes to detoxing. Water assists the kidneys, liver, and intestines in removing waste from the body. Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Adding essential minerals to your water is a great habit-stacking opportunity and can make the taste more enjoyable.

Try “Just Ingredients” electrolytes for a salty boost of flavor and minerals.

2. Eat Clean

Focus on whole, unprocessed foods. Incorporate plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy carbs into your diet. Avoid sugary snacks, fried foods, and excessive caffeine. Here are some key descriptors to look for if you are wanting to refine and increase the nutritional benefits of your diet:

  • Grass-fed beef

  • Organic chicken

  • Wild-caught fish

  • No seed oils (canola, sunflower, soybean, peanut, grapeseed, etc.). Instead, look for foods that use coconut oil, olive oil, or avocado oil.

  • No added sugar

  • Swap table salt (iodized salt) for sea salt or pink Himalayan salt.

  • No food dyes such as Red 3, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1, etc.

3. Move Your Body

Exercise is a great way to boost your metabolism and help your body detox. Aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day, whether it's a brisk walk, yoga, or a workout at the gym. Pairing exercise with the sauna will aid in muscle recovery, detoxification, and improve cardiovascular health.

Quality sleep is essential for overall health and detoxification. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Create a bedtime routine that helps you unwind, such as reading a book or taking a bath. Some of our favorite products to increase sleep quality are:

5. Practice Mindfulness

Stress can hinder your body's ability to detox due to the release of stress hormones like cortisol which disrupt the function of organs responsible for detoxification. Incorporate mindfulness practices like grounding, journaling, and activities that require you to be away from your phone.

6. Limit Alcohol and Caffeine

Both alcohol and caffeine can dehydrate you and put unnecessary strain on your liver. Avoid drinking coffee on an empty stomach. Instead, enjoy coffee after a well-balanced breakfast or replace it with herbal teas that benefit your body.

7. Try a Digital Detox

During the month of January we challenge you to delete social media and invest the time you gain into hobbies, family, and your 2025 goals.

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

  • Have a light dinner with lean protein and vegetables.

Step 2: Move and Meditate

  • Begin your day with a 30-minute walk in the sunshine.

Step 3: Sleep and Digital Detox

  • Ensure you get 7-9 hours of sleep.
